Cricket News sort by Sri Lanka Vs Pakistan 1st ODI at Pallekele - Jun 7, 2012

Sri Lanka were done in by poor batting and rain stoppages as Pakistan went one up in the one-day series. Batting first in bowler friendly conditions, Lanka needed to get off to a good start

Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by 6 wickets with 47 balls to spare in a rain-affected 1st ODI at Pallekele. The visitors needed to chase a paltry target of 135 from 42 overs which they did after facing minor hiccups early in their innings.

Following the drawn T20 series, Pakistan and Sri Lanka now face off in the longer version of the shorter format of the game. Despite the teams being evenly matches in the T20s, Pakistan will go into the one-dayers with a slight upper hand.

After a low-scoring T20I Series at Hambantota, Sri Lanka and Pakistan clash again tomorrow in the first of the five ODIs at Pallekele. The match is going to be a day night affair scheduled to start at 09:00 GMT or 14:30 local and also 14:30 IST.
